This place by far is great!!! I've been here more then four times and every time the food comes out perfect!! It's family friendly and the beer is really good!! Looking forward to going here again!!

We always have a great meal at Prost. The Jäger-Schnitzel and spatzle is the tastiest in town. They have a great beer selection. And the accordion player always keeps the place entertained. We haven't had the pleasure of attending the beer garden yet, but are planning to. It's always been too cold to sit outside.

A coworker has been talking this place up for years. We finally decided to meet up for dinner. This place lived up to her hype. Great atmosphere, staff and food. We started with the Bavarian pretzel-delicious.. The cheese spread that accompanies it is a nice change from mustard. I had the sauerbraten. The meat was so tasty, I could cut it with a fork. It came with red cabbage, not being a red cabbage fan, I asked for sauerkraut. Delicious!!! It had a surprise smoky taste and then I noticed little specs of bacon. Bacon does make everything better. Dessert did not disappoint either. I had the chocolate mousse that was enclosed in ganache. Bring your appetite or prepared for loads of leftovers. I had to take half my dinner and most of my dessert home. My only regret is that I was driving and could not have more than 1 beer. I'll be back!!

Been here a couple of times with family, and loved it each time. I may have eaten too much, but I have no regrets! I'll definitely come here again. The staff is friendly and quick to serve.

I guess you just gotta like German food. I never did but tried it one more time. The beer is great, the waitresses look authentic but the food is bland, unexciting, and unsatisfyingly filling. Give me Italian any day.

This place is incredible! Food is authentic and service is terrific. Couldn't be more delicious - reminds me of living in Germany. What an unexpected gem for Cecil County!

I don't know why they didn't merge this with their old Aberdeen location's Yelp page, but here goes! I have been to the Aberdeen location, and last night I went to the grand opening night for their new location in Port Deposit. For those of you wondering if it is worth the extra miles - YES! The new location is so big and beautiful, I was happy to see that it was full of customers on opening night. This is definitely the kind of location the place deserves. They even seem to have the same murals on the walls in the new building and there is plenty of space for expanding. Obviously, you will need to have reservations for dinner. The old location had about 7 tables, this new location has more than I could count! We sat in a comfy booth in our group of 4. I was also happy to see that they still have their liquor license. I had the Weissbier on tap, my husband had an Oktoberfest beer, and my mother had one of the white wines. Their alcohol is a little pricey at 7.95, but well worth it to me because you don't always have the opportunity to try these brands. The beer was plenty, but my mother says she thinks they gave her less wine than she had before (perhaps they were running out, since there were so many customers). There are so many great-looking German dishes(Sauerbraten, Wiener Schnitzel, Bratwurst, even vegetarian dishes) on the menu that it is hard to choose! The dinner menu prices run from 9.95-16.95 per entree (not including the 29.99 sausage sampler that can be split between two people). My brother and I both ordered Kassler Ripperl, which is a huge pork chop (smoked, so basically tastes like a delicious ham) covered in sauerkraut and with German Potato Salad on the side. I am typically not a fan of sauerkraut, and neither is my husband, but we both couldn't get enough of it! Where normally sauerkraut has a briney, pickeled flavor, Prost's has a nice hearty sweetness to it. The potato salad had nice chunks of potato and it was overall light-tasting despite how filling it was. My husband ordered their Wuerziges Gulasch - it was served on some delicious spaetzle and was served with cucumber salad on the side. I tried a bit of his, even though he ordered it spicy and I have a pretty low tolerance for spice. The spaetzle were my favorite part, a soft, buttery taste and perfect with the gulasch's sauce. The cucumber salad had a light, refreshing taste, perfect to offset the hearty spicy gulasch. My mother tried the Bratwurst, and she ate it so quickly I barely got to see it! :) She said it was perfect - not too greasy like some bratwurst you can get. Of course we all saved room for dessert, too! My husband and I shared their lemon cake, which was surprisingly light and not too sweet - the perfect dessert to have after eating a big dinner. My mother had this marshmallow covered in what looked like white chocolate and coconut - I didn't try it but it looked great! My brother had the chocolate mousse cake, and he said it was very rich and could only eat 1/2 of it. Even though they started running out of some menu items (I had originally ordered Nuernberger Bratwuerstl, but the waitress came back to tell me they had run out) and they were training a lot of new waitstaff (every once in a while waiters would come by asking tables nearby if they ordered the dish they brought - they must have a weird table numbering system) and my husband received his dish about 5 minutes after the rest of our table, we all had a very enjoyable experience. Give them a week or two to iron out the kinks in the new staff in a new building, and this place will be running like a well-oiled machine!

Very friendly, fantastic alternative to stopping at the filthy service area, this is right off the next exit on I-95 near Chesapeake House. Great sausage, weissbier, Jaeger Schnitzel and goulash. Very pastoral location and extremely clean restrooms. Loved the light wooded ambience and very very family-friendly service. Perfect serendipitous find on our family road trip.

I went here with my family expecting a nice German meal. Not what I got. Everything I ordered they didn't have. Really?! We ordered the pretzel appetizer and they didn't make any pretzels that day, I then ordered the brot sampler and they didn't have all of the brots! Finally my sister ordered a dessert but it wasn't made that day. Service was awful awful awful!! Will not go again. And waitress outfits don't even get me started.

Went here this past weekend with a friend. I was worried that the change in location would lead to a change in the quality of the food, ambiance, or service. None of the above. This is a top-notch restaurant. We shared the sausage sampler and the Rindsrouladen, and it was a feast that was incredible. The beer selection has only gotten better, and the service was outstanding. We spent quite a bit, but it was money well spent. I love how meals at Prost can last hours not because of slow service or cooking but because of the relaxed, fun atmosphere of the restaurant. Do yourself a favor and go here!

Great atmosphere and the food is amazing. I've never had a bad meal here! When you walk through the doors you feel as though you've walked into a Bavarian storybook. You will love it here!

Great German food, a bunch of European beers I'd never heard of, German decor and attire, and an accordion player. What's not to like? I started with the small house salad. The vinaigrette was very nice. For dinner, I had the rindsrouladen, which is rolled beef with dill pickle, mustard, and bacon inside. Very good. Even though the dinner came with red cabbage, I ordered a side of sauerkraut. The kraut was excellent and much better than mine. At the table we also had the jager-schnitzel and wiener schnitzel vom Schwein, ordered by the two regulars we were with. They loved these. There was a nice dessert tray but I was too full to have any. (And I had a to-go box.) I had the Schlagl Urquell beer, which was a nice marzen-style beer. The wait staff was just OK but it was a busy Saturday night. I loved the accordion player. Prost seems a little out of the way but it's just off I-95 in Cecil county. Recommended.

Awesome place! Came here for the first time last night. Great service & great food for reasonable prices! We got the pretzels with beer cheese to start which was phenomenal! The pretzels were so soft and the cheese had just a bit of spice. The entrees were both very delicious, I got the Schnitzel with spatzel and loved every bite of it. Then, the plum dessert...oh my god! Delicious. The Clean Slate Riesling was great, too. Couldn't say enough about this place, I will definitely be back.

Nice apthmosphere, nice accordion strolling musician, nice wait staff. Unfortunately I go to a resturaunt for food and this place did not make the cut. We ordered an appetizer of potato pancakes. That is exactly what we got. Potatos mashed and fried. No onions mixed in, no spices. Turns out the bottled apple sauce that came with it was better than the appitizer. I ordered the Jager Snitzel and the wife, Weiner Snitzel. Turns out both dishes are the same thing except the Jager has brown mushroom gravy. Both plates had the same pre-frozen breaded patties. Not sure what the meat was. By taste it could have been pork, chicken, cardboard, who knows? The wife's patties were so dry she asked for a side of gravy. When the check came we were charged $3.00 for the gravy when my dinner was the same price hers, same 2 patties and same spazel side??? Will not be returning.

I love the effort they put into the atmosphere. The apparel, live accordion player, decor... and the owners are super friendly and love chatting up guests. A little pricy but the portions are very large, always leftovers. The food is excellent. If you enjoy sausage I would highly recommend the sampler plate for two (Bayrische Wurstl Platte für Zwei), and share it or just take home whatever you can't finish. My personal favorite is the Weisswurst (white sausage). The last visit I even bought some of their sweet mustard, which is super tasty!

Was my first time there. Was not impressed at all. Took 30.minutes to get a pretzel appetizer. Another hour to get our food. Had the snitzel that was just a deep fried breaded veal and pork patty. It was not home made. They didn't have any tables in there and it took over 2 hours to be served.

Delicious food, great service, great beer selection! For an appetizer we shared Frittierter Camembert which was nearly a meal in itself, followed by Jäger-Schnitzel with spätzle, which I would recommend over the other side option of french fries, simply because you can get fries anywhere. The mushroom gravy knocked it out of the park. Unfortunately I didn't save room for desert. Excellent place, but go hungry!

As close to German food your going to get when not in Germany. Had the weinerschnitzel, of course. The atmosphere and music were great! Felt like I was in Munich! Definitely would go back.

After the wonderful experience I had at the old Prost location at Aberdeen, and all of the wonderful sausage I had in my mouth during my visit there, I was excited to make my first visit to the new Prost location in Port Deposit, get their sausage in my mouth, and see if it was good as I remember. Because let's not forget ... I LOVE sausage in my mouth. The Port Deposit location is FAR bigger than their old place in Aberdeen, which felt like you were sitting and having dinner at someone's house. And while there's a charm to that which I missed, my wife felt claustrophobic the entire time and enjoyed the large booths and space at the new location. Plus they have a very nice bar - a great spot to grab a German brew on tap and watch the game. Speaking of beer, let's start there, shall we? Although I am a true beer snob, I'll be honest - German beer isn't my preference. Which isn't to say the beer is bad ... rather, I quite enjoyed the two beers that I had. (And only two because the large beers are bigger than your head - literally - and clock in at one liter!). They only offered 5 beers on tap, and were out of two of them, but I enjoyed the schwarzbier (can't remember the brand) and the Bitbutger Pils. The bottled beer selection is more extensive, with probably 50+ selections, including Schlenkerla Rauchbier - one of my personal favorites. Food seems to be about the same, as does the menu. We ordered the fried brie with lingonberries as one appetizer, but the highlight of perhaps the whole meal was the pork appetizer. Translated in English to "flying pigs", this is best described as a pork version of buffalo wings. Small ham hocks are deep fried and served on the bone. Four are served, and all-together they had about as much meat (for the same price) as a dozen wings. Wife and father-in-law both enjoyed their schnitzel. Mother-in-law - the native German - was still the hardest to please, and was a bit disappointed in her entree of thick-cut bologna and eggs. (She said that the bologna that she had as a child was different and not the American-style bologna served) It looked like, and tasted like, a good breakfast to me! And about that sausage that I love putting in my mouth ... it's still good, especially when in my mouth. But I wasn't feeling as much sausage as I normally do and opted for a standard order of Weisswursts instead of the HUGE sausage sampler. The accompanying warm pototo salad and sauerkraut were great, and oh boy did I love having that white German sausage in my mouth. Just like their old location in Aberdeen, this new and larger location delivers a great dining experience. If you're looking for a cold draft German brew and some German sausage in your mouth, I can't think of a better place to go.

I really wanted to like this place after reading all the great reviews. Drove over an hour to try it. The waitstaff was super friendly (though a bit slow) and dressed in German outfits. The beer selection was impressive. The accordion music was lively and festive. Sadly, the food was disappointing. The schnitzel seemed to be deep-fried and not pan sauteed. And they were out of black forest cake before 7:30 on a Sat. night. So we got the plum torte which was sort of dry. The place was out in the middle of nowhere but was packed. So, it is obvious that lots of people like it. I'd highly recommend reservations. I'm glad I got to try it but will likely not go back.

What are you doing right now? Nothing? Why aren't at Prost right now? Get your arse over there! You'll understand once you arrive!! Hey! Are you transiting nearby I-95 browsing on Yelp to find a good place for lunch or dinner? What? you want some authentic German Beers too? Wine also?? STOP HERE!! Richard & Renate have moved their fine little German Restaurant from Aberdeen to a much nicer location. There's a nice little Biergarden in the back, a beautiful bar, and a comforting Bavarian theme. Then there is the food: once you try one dish, you'll be planning your immediate return. All kinds of wursts, schnitzels, roasts and salads. It's all good. For lunch recently, three of us ordered one Wurst sampler platter. It was all quite yummy, and feed all three of us very well. I'll see you there....

If you enjoy German food then this is worth the trip. I had the jaeger schnitzel and a few different beers from their vast selection. Everything was top notch and our server was outstanding. Great value.

I have only been here for lunch but I can say the beer selection is all Bavaria or German ...which is excellent. ... the food ... "flying pigs are a must as an appetizer (small part of the pork fore shank deep fried) ... the schnitzel is good either on a sandwich or as an entrée. .. the potato dumpling is good and the spiezel is as well...

Superb! My husband and I frequented both the Aberdeen location, and now this one. My husband is a native of Germany, and thinks the food is SPOT ON, and the environment reminds him of his home. :) Waitstaff in authentic German garb is great, and I loved the accordian music. I have no complaints, the staff is friendly, and the food is wonderful. Try the baked camembert (it's cheese heaven!) but order it as soon as you sit down, as it takes a while to get it to the table. With a nice Riesling...oooh!! I would highly advise you make a reservation. I always do, and am seated as soon as I come in, but I always see people getting turned away. Plan ahead, and enjoy!

Stopped in on a Friday night. Ordered the soft pretzel with cheese dip appetizer. The pretzel was warm and nice. The cheese dip was cold, which seemed strange since they called it a 'dip' on the menu, so I thought it was going to be hot. Think pimento spread gone bad. Way to many onions. $9.95. My wife got the Wurziges Gulasch. A few bits of beef in a heavy tomato sauce overloaded with paprika with some spaetzel. I got the Jager Schnitzel. Supposed to be either pan fried or grilled. I didn't get a choice. Came out fried. Menu said it would come with a mushroom cream sauce. It arrived with canned beef gravy and mushrooms. No cream in the sauce. I could not tell if the mushrooms were also canned. Odd thing we noticed right away, a number of the menu items are 'no longer available'. we knew this because there are little slips of paper stuck over the items they are no longer carrying. The beer list is impressive. However, the font they used for the drink menu is hard to read.

Prost is a Restaurant unlike anything else around! From the food to the atmosphere, everyone is encouraged to feel like they are a part of the family! You will frequently hear people singing, laughing, standing up giving cheers, and having a good time. There are private booths and group booths where you can sit with other people while you eat (similar to the American way of eating at a bar). There is a full bar with a re-corking license. I like that I can buy a full bottle of wine and then take home whatever I don't finish. I was completely unfamiliar with German food before Prost. Everything is excelent. I would recommend the Jager Schnitzel or maybe one of the sausage platters if you don't have the German food pallette just yet. It looks like the Bier Garden will be open soon and once they start having their Oktoberfests it will definitely be an awesome place to spend an afternoon or evening with friends and family!

Came here for an early dinner with the family after visiting the nearby zoo. Started off with a pretzel....these are made to order. Great. Wife got the Jaeger schnitzle...loved it. Me and my oldest daughter had the weiner schnitzle. Also good. Restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is clean. Wait staff were good. Bavarian beer selection is awesome.

The staff, atmosphere, and food were all OUTSTANDING!!!! Having traveled through Germany, I found that our experience at Prost left me feeling like we had actually revisited Europe! The staff and atmosphere provided an ultra friendly and festive environment while the cuisine and beer selection was spot on! We are looking forward to celebrating at their Oktoberfest gathering on October 24th!

We had been here once before, and even though it was an hour away, wanted to take family members to visit it as well. I made reservations and upon doing so, was asked for my phone number which I provided. You know where this is going, right? We drove an hour to make our reservation only to find the place to be closed. There was a water main break. These things happen. However, despite providing my phone number, we never received a call. It was 7 pm on a Friday night and were stuck trying to get family members food. I called Prost to let them be aware that I never received a phone call. I was told "We called everyone on our list", and insisted they called me. They didn't. They did not leave a message. I understand it must have been stressful for them, but not even a "I'm sorry, we thought we called everyone, there must have been a mistake", but instead insisting that I was called. Mistakes happen. Water main breaks happen. Poor customer service, however, has some intention. There won't be a next time.

My wife and I went here on a Saturday afternoon. The place wasn't crowded at all and we got a seat right away. The hostess and servers were very good. I loved the variety of German beer they had! I ordered the special, which was ZeguenerSchnitzle. Simply amazing! My wife had the SauerBraten. Also very tasty! We raved the entire time we were there about how good the food was. In short, we've added this to a place we'll be back to often. It's a bit of a hike from us now that the Aberdeen location closed (I never went to that location, but would certainly be more convenient). The new place looks newly renovated, very clean and good atmosphere. I highly recommend!

The new building is way better than the old one and it has a lot of character. The beer list is great, but I am mixed on the food and prices. We all ordered drinks and the waitress asked us if we wanted a litre or a half a litre, so we all order a half a litre. One of the women at our table ordered a raspberry beer/cider and the waitress didn't tell her that she had to get a full litre and just brought it out. I ordered the goulash and it was just ok. We also ordered the pretzel cheese dip for the table and it was $10 dollars for 2 pretzels a little bigger than a bread stick with way to much cheese that couldn't have possibly been used on the pretzels, unless we ate it with a spoon. My wife ordered the Yeager schnitzel and it was very good. I would go back, but I think it would be a once or twice a year thing for me because of the value.

I don't like using superlatives, but to be perfectly honest, this was the best German food (and overall experience) I've had in all of Maryland, possibly in the States, too! It's a bit out of our way to travel to Port Deposit, but we might have become regulars there when we can. Between the vast German beer selection, the authentic and mouth-watering food, the live accordian player and music elsewhile, the Alpine decor, and the friendly and attentive staff, this was an outstanding experience since the time we walked into the door. I found it through another yelper who had a picture of the giant pretzel as her profile pic. I'm always keen on German cuisine, so I had to ask where she found it. Prost and its owners have apparently moved from their original location in Aberdeen, where they were already at 4.5 out of 5 stars on this site, and already had 4 out of 5 at their new place (early dissenters can throw off statistics so unjustly). Anyway, there were three of us total, which was great, because we got to try so many items. We started with one landjäger to share, which was actually a double stick, since they serve it whole with both pieces. I definitely detected a mild caraway note, which was unexpected and entirely enjoyable! We started with the fried camembert and pretzels with beer cheese. The first dish was simply divine; golden brown and delicious on the outside with a nice crunch that stayed there, yielding to an ooey gooey interior of melty goodness. Even the rolls that accompanied it were very fresh, nicely crusty/crunchy on the outside, and soft and chewy on the inside, but without be overly anything. Very excellent! The pretzels were not the massive 12-inch variety with the second appetizer, but a more manageable 7-8 inch size. These were quite fresh, and as constant and delicious as one would expect them to be. The beer cheese had a nice slightly bitter note from the beer itself, and yet was still mellow and not overpowering. The cheese was in large curds, which didn't spread as easily, but made for a good stuffing in the pretzels when torn the right way. Definitely worth getting again. We each ordered an entree (variety is the spice of life, right?), and we each got to share and pass plates around. First, there was the goulash. Nice chunks of meat (beef and pork, I believe), a very healthy amount of spätzle to bed it upon, and a lucious rich sauce... think the best tomato bisque you've had, but with a beefy backbone. It was definitely a solid dish, one worth repeating! Next, there was the jägerschnitzel, with a side of spätzle (instead of the customary fries; they will swap out sides for you if you ask). The schnitzel itself was very good. You could taste the freshness of the meat, and it was quite tender for as thin of a cut as it is. The breading was adhesive, very crisp, and not greasy at all. This was a well-fried cutlet, very well executed. My only complaint is that it would perhaps benefit from a bit more salt, and it would make the flavors pop a bit more. The superb mushroom gravy was a good foil for this, however, and was one of the best I'd ever had. Lastly, was my dish, the rindsrouladen. I have to be more critical of this dish, as it's the one I ordered, but let me preface this by saying that I would order it again. The greatest sin was that the beef rolls were a bit overcooked. The meat dried out a little bit, and it was more chewy than it could have been. This was definitely overshadowed by the sum of the dish, however. Critiques aside, it was still an enjoyable rouladen, stuffed with bacon and pickles, and cooked in a savory, rich, herbal, earthy gravy. (You might find some places have one or two gravies for multiple dishes, but not so at Prost; there was a distinct difference between the goulash, jäger sauce, and this gravy on the rouladen). The red cabbage was anything by the standard sweet sticky fare; instead, it was a red cabbage sauerkraut, with a surprising bite only slightly sweet flavor, which did a wonderful job of pairing with the rich beef and gravy. There was also one each potato and bread dumpling; I still can't decide which I liked more. The former actually melted in the mouth, and was silky smooth all the way through. The latter was full-flavored, hearty, rustic, and very satisfying. Definitely an overall succss, this dish. I loved that we walked in to live accordian music and the sounds of people laughing. Every table had smiles, and everyone there seemed to be having a great time. The staff there recognized several customers and came out to greet them when they weren't busy. We were constantly attended to by our server (Brad), along with the rest of the wait staff when he was otherwise occupied. They went out of their way to make eye contact and to ensure that everything was going well.

Well. This is as good as it gets. Given it was $50 for the two of us and we only had two beers and two entrees it was well worth it. I'd frequent here more often if it was closer. The portions were huge and service was excellent. I highly recommend this place to anyone!

This is one of my favorites. Decent German food, really nice atmosphere and German beer on tap and in bottle. Love going here! They don't really have a kids menu per se, but they do have frankfurters (hot dogs) and chicken tenders, at least. Staff is very nice and does great customer service. Always look forward to my next visit!

Holy cow... friendly staff, live accordion, fabulous food! They had the usual hiccups any new place has at first, but a couple weeks later, things are looking quite good. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly, and the accordion player enthralled our sons. They also loved their currywursts. We also had the jagerschnitzel, the wurziges gulasch, and the sauerbraten... first time my husband has ever willingly eaten his beets. The meat was a little dry, but the gravy made up for it, and the dumplings were excellent. My gulasch was spicy and quite tasty! We finished with black forest cake and bear claws... yum! I can't recommend this place enough. That's a rare compliment from me. I'm so grateful to have these folks in Cecil County!

Authentic German food in a perfect venue. Prost is still new in Port but they really have a good thing going. Nice bar. Great dining room, and oh yeah, the food! This is some great stuff. This was or second visit to this location, both times to celebrate birthdays, and the staff handled large parties so easily on both occasions. Thanks! We can't wait to go back. It will happen soon Prost is located just a couple minutes from I-95 and that casino place so GO!

I've passed this restaurant a few times and decided to go there tonight. I'll start by recommending making a reservation. This place is busy, and deservedly so. The staff is friendly. The food is excellent. The beer was awesome. I can see myself going back occasionally to sample more of the menu.

Giving them five stars because I really do love them. I lived in Germany and the food is about as authentic as it gets. The new restaurant looks awesome. Has the feel of the old one but much larger. I'm glad to see they have a full bar. The prices are so fantastic. There aren't many German restaurants in the tri-state area and the ones that do exist, serve food that's half the quality for double the price. $10 for bratwurst, potato salad, and sauerkraut? I'm in. My only gripe: They run out of so many things. I almost feel as if I have to call ahead to see what I'll be able to eat there. I understand that there are growing pains with any restaurant relocation... they're expected. I really hope all of the supply issues get figured out quickly.

I can't say enough about the food, it is the BEST! My wife and I have been to German restaurants in PA and VA but Prost is by far the best around. The original location was small and quaint. They ran the place like a well-oiled machine and the staff was very friendly. I have read some reviews that said they had run out of some menu items, and that's sad but knowing how they ran the smaller place, owners Rick and Renate will have this ironed out in no time (if not already!!). Soon the Biergarten will open! Can't wait. The still friendly wait staff wearing German outfits is a nice touch. The new location is huge with plenty of parking in the rear of the building. Reservations were a must at the Aberdeen location and I would recommend getting reservations here as well.

The food looks great and could be if the chef wasn't afraid of seasonings. My food was fresh but bland. The meat needed marinating before cooking. The breading lacked even salt and pepper. The house maid Black Forest cake looked great but was not sweet. A desert should be sweet. I hope the chef overcomes his fear of seasonings. This Restaraunt has great promise if that happens.

My husband and I "road tripped" here yesterday for lunch. Made the mistake of ordering beers without realizing how HUGE they are. Food was ok, but definitely not something to write home about. Service was friendly, but our server was evidently new and unable to answer questions. We couldn't help but think of the many roadside spots we have eaten at in Germany with MUCH better Schnitzel, etc, and significantly lower cost. Yeager Schnitzel lunch: 2.8; schnitzel lunch: 3.5 (The fries were a10). The lunch tab for two Schnitzel lunches and two beers plus normal tip came to $35 - which I thought was VERY high. We probably would be unlikely to return except for the Flying Pigs appetizer I just read about...

Ate at Prost over the weekend and loved it! Food was delicious and authentic. Great relaxed atmosphere with a friendly staff. We live in the DC area so the prices did not seem unreasonable to us, very on par for the quality/quantity. Our only issue was that there was no infant changing station in the restrooms. The manager was very nice and accommodating, showing me to a private area where I could change the baby. Service was a little slow (husband would have liked another beer) but everyone has off days so I won't count that against them. We will probably make it a new stop on our drive to visit family.

I do not know if this place is still open I tried to call and got a recording that said they were closed for Thanksgiving. I tried the website and it is listed as suspended. It would be a shame if they went under they had such a great place in Aberdeen.

Sorry but I lived in Germany. Probably the best German in the area. Tried the spaetzle side which was pretty good. Beyond that, the goulash was basically spicy ketchup sauce with some potatoes. The half chicken was paprika inundated baked chicken. French fries were ok. German bread was cold so probably frozen and reheated a little. Didn't try the beer which was probably my big mistake

I was super excited for this restaurant to open, but sad to say I won't be frequenting here, even though it's less than a mile away. The reason why? 10 minutes before my reservation, I received a call saying they were out of most oftheir menu items. I understand opening in a new location, however this was poor planning and left a bad taste in my mouth without actually eating.

Super food, service, and atmosphere! There were 8 of us and we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Lots and lots of great German beer & wine choices as well. The accordion player (on a Friday night) added much to the party-like atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

I've been there multiple times, both to sit at the bar and have beer and pretzels and to have dinner. They have a fine selection of German beers, both on tap and in bottles. Everyone is very nice, warm and welcoming.

It does not get any better than Prost. The food, awesome customer service and great selection of German beer are what makes this restaurant unique. I've been here numerous times with family and friends and always feel very welcomed. I recently moved to West Virginia and was excited when I learned there was a German restaurant near me. The Bavarian Inn in Shepherdstown, WV does not even come close to Prost. I'm looking forward to visiting again.

The staff is very friendly and seems very excited/knowledgeable about the menu. I asked for what our server recommended and she gave such a great explanation of the dishes it makes me want to go back and try them all. I grew up in Cecil county but now live in the DC area. My DC friends (one of them loves German food) who went to Prost liked it so much that they suggested we drive the hour and a half+ to go there again. Great place, I hope it becomes a mainstay of the Port area.

Menu seems to have authentic German fare. We got the fried sauerkraut appetizer, the jagerschnitzel, and the sausage sampler (w/ 6 kind of sausage). The food lacked basic seasoning, like salt and pepper. Portions were generous, but sadly... very bland. Maybe after several beers to 'numb' the taste-buds, it would have been better.

Wonderful food! Authentic environment. The pretzels and cheese dip are a must have. Sauerbraten was amazing - just like my German grandmother made. Our server was wonderful too. She was very knowledgeable and helpful about the wine and beer selections. I didn't think my kids would go for this place, but they cleaned their plates and then had dessert (of course). We will definitely be back.
